Amanda Waugh is the primary Dental Assistant at Longworth Dental. She is directly involved with patient care, along-side Dr. Barr and Dr. Cooper. By seating patients, sterilizing instruments, mixing dental materials, taking x-rays and providing oral evacuation during dental treatment, she prepares patients for procedures and ensures their comfort.
Amanda was born in Scarborough, ON. At age 6, her family moved to Bowmanville. Moving here has made her love the small town feel, and as the town has developed, so has she. While attending high school at St. Stephen’s Secondary School she was very interested in the dental field. She spent a lot of her time at the dentist having fillings, extractions and root canals done, so she thought she should learn about how teeth decay and what kind of things are done to maintain the health of your teeth.
Emily plays a dual role at Longworth Dental. You may catch her at the front desk, or in the back clinic area. Emily moved to Bowmanville five years ago, when she fell in love with the town. Emily has been working for six years now, in the dental profession as a dental assistant. She enjoys working side by side with Dr. Barr and Dr. Cooper, as well as being at the reception desk.
